will explain below with example.
PROBLEM
So many people in the world (not
used English Language as primary language) don’t know the different from the
subject, verb, complement and modifier. Lets we be smart together from the
basic. Here it is, i will explain the different of the subject, verb,
complement, and modifier in a sentence.
Example:
·

a checking account at
the bank last week
Subject Verb
Complement Modifier
of Place Modifier of Time
Ø Subject :
my father is a subject because
the persons doing action.
Ø Verb :
opened is a verb because a
verb by my father.
Ø Complement : a checking
account is a complement because as a complementary word for the verb of a checking account.
Ø Modifier of
Place : at the bank is a modifier of place because describe about a place of bank.
Ø Modifier of Time : last week is a modifier of time because describe about a time of last week.
SOLUTION
I will explain about the solution
about Subject, Verb, Complement, and Modifier. First, the subject of a sentence
is the noun, pronoun or noun phrase that precedes and governs the main verb.
The Subject is the part of the sentence that performs an action or which is
associated with the action. Subjects can be people, animals, objects, or
abstract concepts. Second, Verb is a function word to indicate the action of
the subject, showing events or circumstances. Verb is one of the eight parts of
speech. English verbs are not always simple shape (one word), but may be the
result of a combination of phrases into phrasal verbs with particle. Third, a
Complement is the part of a sentence that comes after the Verb. Which is serves
to complete parts or elements of other sentences, such as Suject Predicate, and
Object. Complement can be a noun, a phrase, or a clause. But, a Complement can
not be the subject of a sentence if it’s converted into passive sentence.
Fourth, the Modifier is tells the time, place or manner of the action. The
existence of modifier allows a writer to convey what they imagine accurately to
the reader. Even some people think, that without the modifier a sentence will
feel boring.
P.S:
that’s all my article, i hope this article can help you guys to learn English
and of course, can be usefull for my lovely reader (beside my assignment). CMIIW! and
